Established in 2010 by Jamie Hilton, See Pictures is one of Australia's busiest production companies. See Pictures develops, finances and produces large cast-driven and small concept-driven films. See Pictures also works with international producers to navigate Australian co-production, location incentives and finance.

See Pictures received Screen Australia's Enterprise Growth Funding for 2015/16.
Recently completed projects include an adaptation of Tim Winton's best-selling novel BREATH (directed by and starring Simon Baker), sci-fi OTHERLIFE (directed by Ben C. Lucas) and animated / live-action hybrid short, MARTHA THE MONSTER (writer/director Christopher Weekes, with Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale).
Projects in post-production include FLAMMABLE CHILDREN (writer/director Stephan Elliott, starring Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce) and crime-drama 1% (writer Matt Nable, starring Matt Nable, Ryan Corr and Abbey Lee).
Jamie Hilton Founding Partner/Producer
Jamie Hilton is a producer and co-founder of See Pictures.
His theatrical debut was Claire McCarthy's THE WAITING CITY (Joel Edgerton, Radha Mitchell).
Recent projects include Tim Winton's BREATH, alongside Mark Johnson (THE NOTEBOOK, BREAKING BAD) and actor/director Simon Baker; FLAMMABLE CHILDREN (Guy Pearce, Kylie Minogue, Julian McMahon, Radha Mitchell) for writer/director Stephan Elliott (PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT); sci-fi OTHERLIFE for director Ben C Lucas (premiering at the 2017 Sydney Film Festival); and 1% (Matt Nable, Abbey Lee, Ryan Corr) directed by Stephen McCallum.
Other projects include supernatural thriller BACKTRACK (Adrien Brody, Sam Neill) for writer/director Michael Petroni (THE BOOK THIEF, THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER) and hit comedy THE LITTLE DEATH for writer/director/actor Josh Lawson (which won the SxSW Audience Award in 2015). Jamie was also executive producer on Julia Leigh's SLEEPING BEAUTY (Cannes Official Competition) and WYRMWOOD for the Roache-Turner brothers.
Jamies was recently featured in Screen International's 'Future Leaders' showcase, has lectured production at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and the University of Technology Sydney, and runs a mentoring program for emerging producers.
Sonia Borella Partner/Producer
Sonia Borella is a partner and producer at See Pictures.
Sonia has worked in the film and television industry for over 15 years, where she has held a number of leadership positions, including formerly as a partner of the law firm Holding Redlich (where she chaired the firm's national media, entertainment and technology group), a member of the advisory committees of each of Ausfilm, Screen Producers Australia and the International Chinese Film Festival, a guest lecturer at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), and a co-author of a regular column in the widely-read industry publication Inside Film.
Sonia has worked on numerous feature films including those involving iconic directors, producers and other collaborators such as George Miller and Doug Mitchell (FURY ROAD, HAPPY FEET TWO), Alex Proyas (GODS OF EGYPT, KNOWING) and James Cameron (DEEPSEA CHALLENGE, SANCTUM). She has also worked on numerous television projects including those involving FremantleMedia Australia, Shine Australia and Beyond International. As well as being an expert in navigating the Australian screen production incentives, she has extensive experience in structuring official co-productions and providing production services.
Since July 2016 Sonia has been working with Jamie Hilton across all aspects of the businesses of See Pictures and Ticket to Ride, as well as developing and producing new projects including the upcoming GO KARTS (co-developed with Roadshow), the sci-fi UNTITLED CHRISTIAN DEBNEY PROJECT and other unannounced animated and live-action film and television projects.
In 2015 Sonia completed select film and television courses through the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and she is currently studying at The Writer's Studio.
Michael Pontin Head of Ticket to Ride/Producer
Michael has been with See Pictures since 2013. After studying a B.A. in Media Arts from UTS and an Adv. Dip. in Performance from Actors Centre Australia, Michael has produced award winning shorts, TVCs, and viral campaigns. In 2011, while completing a Grad. Dip in Screen Business from AFTRS, Michael produced the online musical ANDY X for Jim Sharman (THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW). On graduation, Michael received the Screen Australia Talent Escalator Program Grant to work in Los Angeles. There he worked with Village Roadshow Pictures and The Gotham Group. In 2013 he took part in Screen Australia’s Springboard program with Jamie Hilton and Christopher Weekes.
For See Pictures, Michael was a Co-Producer on THE LITTLE DEATH (Josh Lawson, Bojana Novakovic) and an Associate Producer on BACKTRACK (Adrien Brody, Sam Neill). Michael produced his first feature, OTHERLIFE (Jessica De Gouw) directed by Ben C Lucas, and also produced 1% (Matt Nable, Abbey Lee, Ryan Corr) directed by Stephen McCallum.
Ester Harding Producer
Ester joined the company in 2015, moving into narrative filmmaking from a background in feature documentary and multiplatform storytelling. Ester is co-producer on writer/director Stephan Elliott's FLAMMABLE CHILDREN; producer for REMEMBERING AGATHA; and for See Pictures' first foray into television, HOLY COW.
She was a 2013 Screen Producers Australia 'One to Watch'; and in 2014 served as NSW Chapter Head. Ester was a co-founder of the Sydney chapter of StoryCode; and of the screen industry think-tank, ScreenFutures. In 2015, Ester completed her Masters of Screen Arts and Business at AFTRS.
