Who We Are

Established in 2010 by Jamie Hilton, See Pictures is one of Australia's busiest production companies. We develop, finance and produce large cast driven and small concept driven films. We also work with international producers to navigate Australian co-production, location incentives and finance. See Pictures 2015 releases include supernatural thriller BACKTRACK (Adrien Brody, Sam Neill), THE LITTLE DEATH (Josh Lawson, Bojana Novakovic) and animated short MARTHA THE MONSTER (Rose Byrne, Bobby Carnavale). 

See Pictures received Screen Australia's Enterprise Growth Funding for 2015/16. 

We are currently in production on an adaptation of Tim Winton's BREATH with Simon Baker directing, Ben Lucas' sci-fi OTHERLIFE and Chris Debney's ATOMICA.




Our Team

Jamie Hilton  Producer

Jamie Hilton heads See Pictures. His theatrical debut was Claire McCarthy's THE WAITING CITY (Joel Edgerton, Radha Mitchell). Recent credits include supernatural thriller BACKTRACK (Adrien Brody, Sam Neill) for writer/director Michael Petroni (THE BOOK THEIF, NARNIA-DAWNTREADER) and hit comedy THE LITTLE DEATH for writer/director/actor Josh Lawson. THE LITTLE DEATH won the SxSW Audience Award in 2015, played TIFF and sold in all major territories. Jamie is currently in post-production on sci-fi OTHERLIFE for director Ben C Lucas and in production on Tim Winton’s BREATH, alongside Mark Johnson (THE NOTEBOOK, BREAKING BAD) and actor/director Simon Baker. Jamie was executive producer on Julia Leigh’s SLEEPING BEAUTY (Cannes Official Competition) and WYRMWOOD for the Roache-Turner brothers. His company See Pictures received Screen Australia Enterprise funding in 2015/16 and has projects in development with Pierre Morel (TAKEN), Stephan Elliott (PRICILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT), Wayne Blair (THE SAPPHIRES), Marcus Nispal (FRIDAY THE 13TH, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE), Peter Cornwell (HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT), Christopher Weekes (MUPPET MAN) and Steve Worland (PAPER PLANES). Jamie was recently featured in Screen International’s ‘Future Leaders’ showcase, has lectured production at the Australian Film School (AFTRS) and the University of Technology, Sydney and runs a mentoring program for emerging producers.


Michael Pontin Producer

Michael has been with See Pictures since 2013. After studying a B.A. in Media Arts from UTS and an Adv. Dip. in Performance from Actors Centre Australia, Michael produced award winning shorts, TVCs, and viral campaigns. In 2011, while completing a Grad. Dip in Screen Business from AFTRS, Michael produced the online musical ANDY X for Jim Sharman (THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW). On graduation, Michael received the Screen Australia Talent Escalator Program Grant to work in Los Angeles. There he worked with Village Roadshow Pictures and The Gotham Group. In 2013 he took part in Screen Australia’s Springboard program with Jamie Hilton and Christopher Weekes. For See Pictures, Michael was a Co-Producer on THE LITTLE DEATH (Josh Lawson, Bojana Novakovic), Associate Producer on BACKTRACK (Adrien Brody, Sam Neill) and Produced his first feature on the upcoming OTHERLIFE (Jessica De Gouw) directed by Ben C Lucas.

Ester Harding Producer

Ester Harding is an award-winning producer, with a strong story background learned through literature studies and journalism. Her previous documentary screen credits include Bush Slam (ABC, Goa Hippy Tribe (SBS Online) andAfter Six-Four (Official Selection IDFA DocLab 2014 Digital Storytelling Competition; 2014 UNAA Media Awards Nominee) (SBS Online) and all media documentary Storm Surfers 3D (SPA Awards 2012 Interactive Producer of the Year, with Firelight Productions). In 2012, she joined Media Stockade to line-produce The Surgery Ship (SBS) and co-produce feature documentary I Am A Girl (nominated for four 2014 AACTA Awards, including Best Feature Doc; and winner of the Screen Producers Australia 2014 Award for Best Feature Doc). Ester has worked on several short films, including Make Me and Liv, and lectures regularly about audience engagement and storyworlds. She was a 2013 Screen Producers Australia ‘One to Watch’; and in 2014 served as NSW Chapter Head. Ester is a co-founder of the Sydney chapter of StoryCode; and of the screen industry think-tank, ScreenFutures. In 2015, Ester joined See Pictures as a Production Executive.
